I was getting ready to go to Whole Foods after I put the girls to bed at 7:30. I had already cleaned the kitchen and gotten everything ready so I could leave, when Nick said he had somewhere to be and was going to go. I was frustrated because I had done all this work and preparation. He didn't seem to care and said I could go later with the girls. I told him that was a lot of pressure on me.
I waited until the next day when they would be up and went while he stayed with them.
I got there and was trying to get helP to access what I needed. I was waiting in line to buy prepackaged soups that looked so good. Some had lobster and noodles in them. They were $5. A good price. The workers kept flaking out so I couldn't get anyone to get them for me. I waited in line. So much waiting. It was 9:30 and I knew I needed to get back. I saw Jennifer (old aquaintance) working there. She was on the phone. Apparently Catherine (my sister) worked there too.
I finally got through the line to ask the girls at the register if they could get someone to help me. 2 black girls. One told me she wasn't going to deal with it. The other woman was willing to work hard and help me. She couldn't find anyone, but she gave me $1.50 in some valuable Hungarian coins. They were worth more than $1.50. Not what I expected, but I had already gotten $5 out to tip her for having such a good work ethic. I wanted to reward her drive.
I went back to look for a manager to help me. The managers were all in their office. I cried out in frustration. Nothing. I knew Nick was going to be mad and think I was out lollygagging because it was taking so long.
