I had a dream dream 7/1 of this year that I was walking into the courtyard for lunch period at a high school (I felt like it was my old high school but I didn't look like it). My big sister and an old friend from junior high were with me. I have not spoken to or seen this friend in years at the time of the dream (oddly she randomly resurfaced after this dream, not sure if there's a connection). There were a few students scattered around waiting for the lunch period to actually begin. I asked my friend and my sister to hold my things because I was getting ready to take flight (I often fly in my dreams). I walked a bit away from them and came back to ask how I should launch. Usually when I fly in my dreams I'm either being chased or I am alone and and feeling really good, but never casually in front of people and without a purpose. They encourage me to launch however was most comfortable to me. All the while im smiling and have a nervous excitement! I walk back off, do a little sprint and off into the air I go. Its a quick flight and then I return. I did notice that I felt surprised and a little bummed that no one in the courtyard noticed that I took off flying and turned into a bird. I ask them when I land what kind of bird am I (usually when I fly in my dreams I am myself-human). They're smiling but they're looking at me and telling me in a non verbal way that they don't really know. I asked my sister what I looked like and she said all brown with a spot on my wing. So I said okay well I'm going to do it again but this time can you guys record me or take a picture so that I can see? I don't remember if I gave my phone to my sis or if it was her phone she was using but they both were both holding phones and happy to capture me in action (I feel like at some point I took my phone from my back pocket and handed it to my sister). So I did the same method as before in order to take off, but this time was different. It was more of an experience than anything. I was high up in the air and I was flapping my wings but in a slow smooth way. I knew that I was a big bird because when I looked to my right my wing was big, brown and my feather were big and shiny. I could also suddenly feel my own weight. I turned my head and did a nose dive very fast to this water that was down below. I glided over the water and put my beak in it grazing the water with my beak as I glided over it. I ascended back up and I could see that my chest and all my feathers from underneath were brown as well. I came back down and approached my sister and my friend excitedly anticipating what I would see. I was approached before I got there by a Hispanic gentleman I used to go to school with as well. I believe we went to high school together. He was the only who could see what I just did and he was saying that it was cool. At this time there were more students out and there were large speakers in the courtyard playing music. It appeared that lunch period had begun, yet no one noticed what was going on. The gentlemen walked with me to approach my sister and friend and was asking me how I did that. I was responding in a gentle and humble way. As I approached my sister and friend I asked in excitement did you get anything? My sister said something to the effect of I hope you can see it clear and she began to turn the screen towards me and before I could see it I woke up! I did look up large all brown birds and I knew when I saw the golden eagle that that was me in the dream.
