Scene 2:
My friend went behind my back to buy our house even though it wasnt for sale. She had contacted a realtor and apparently it was legal to buy someones house without their permission. The price they were going to pay was $140,000 and our house was worth $200.000. I was so upset and I knew I could probably manipulate/guilt her into backing out. I remember saying “it’s like you’re taking $60,000 from us”. My husband is completely unphased. We are looking at a different house to buy that is not in great shape, not updated, and has a very poor layout. (closed off rooms instead of open layout) He says “its gonna be fine!” very upbeat. It’s confusing to me because he is an architect. How can he feel this way? Again I feel like I know I can use my strength to keep my original house but I also know I’m not supposed to do that even if it means losing $60,000.
