I was in a vintage-like hardware store and was putting a fresh new coat of paint on large wooden tables. The color I was painting them was a pretty greenish grey. However, halfway through the paint job, I put the paint in the microwave and the paint became too difficult to spread but it didn’t matter because I was almost finished painting. Someone else was helping me paint the tables but when I looked at their color, it was a deep lavender and was not the same color as my paint. The people helping me paint said it WAS the same color. So I painted my color on a wall and painted a swatch of their color on top of my color to show them that it was not the same color. However, I said it didn’t matter and I liked the mismatched colored tables. So, some of the tables were painted in greenish/grey and some were lavender. I could see all of the tables in the dream across the room and the mismatched tables looked pretty. Then, I realized that because the paint was too thick from putting it in the microwave, the paint had gotten on my wedding rings and I needed to soak them to get the paint off. There was someone (a woman) standing at a sink and I asked her if she had a cup of water to put my rings in so I could soak and clean them and she said she didn’t but she made me a cup out of plastic packing tape to soak my rings until they were clean. Then I went to the back room of the store where vintage clothes were hanging (kind of like a thrift store) and I fell in love with the dresses that were hanging there. There was one dress that reminded me of 1970’s men’s swimming trunks that had the tropical sunset orange and yellow colors with a silhouette of a surfboard and surfer in the ocean with the waves. I tried on the dress and it fit me and I liked the style but the material was outdated and very loud looking so I did not choose it. There was another dress that was an older vintage dress from the 1940’s or 1950’s that was black and had a scoop neck. I ended up getting that dress because it was pretty and elegant.
