It was New Year's eve and I was to meet with two other friends (I am not that close to them) for dinner at 7pm. I was running some errands (and I was already late) and the plan was to drop off some stuff in my new apartment before meeting them. In the dream, I had bought the apartment for many years but had not moved in and I cannot remember which floor and unit number. I do not have a new apartment in reality.
When I reached the building of my new apartment, I was trying to find the correct elevator lobby to bring me up to my apartment. I randomly chose one lobby but a woman was trying to get in, so I went to another elevator lobby and I was still trying to remember which unit was my new apartment.
The elevator operated by a card that you flash on a reader and it bring you to the right floor. The elevator came and it was a extremely tiny one that can fit only 3 persons.
I flashed my card and it showed level 12 and I squeezed in with 2 other persons in the lift. The lift showed levels 8, 12 and 22 on a panel. However it had some mechanical problems and skipped level 8 and keep going to level 12 and the two persons stepped out of the elevator Somehow I did not step out with them and it kept going to level 22. All this time, I was still trying to remember which unit I was supposed to go to.
I turned my card over and I saw 0850, which is the unit number of of my apartment. I stepped out at level 22 and took the elevator back down to level 8. The dream ended with me looking for unit 0850 and I was thankful that finally I know where I was supposed to go.
