It began with me back in my hometown, with my high school friends and kindergarten teacher. I went through the lunch line at our school and after a difficult time deciding, chose the lasagna with lota of bread. i got alot of extra bread and didnt care that people laughed at me; so delicious. the lunchroom transitioned into a dimly lit restaurant with brick walls and cobblestone streets outside. there among the restaurant lined street was a man that i respect dearly as a husband and father. he was a bookmaker and I saw a very interesting book. it was very large (3’x4’) and had a burgundy leather cover like an old journal but the front cover was textured into a grid of rectangles like tiny picture frames all over it. inside it had pages with movable pieces. One page had a construction scene with a crane on a river bank. you could move the crane arm to move the beams or logs into place on the bridge/dock that was being built. i thought this is really cool. it cost $2000. i ordered it from him and he said it would take a little time but he would let me know when it’s ready. In the meantime I was out and about and a man that i respect for being Christ-like (lets call him Joe) approached me and made small talk. This man is actually the bookmaker’s son in real life. He had been somewhere and was back in town and crossed my path several times saying hello each time. Then there was a fire drill and we had to go outside. When we were heading back some people came to tell me my book was ready. It was in a shop next door to the restaurant.
When I opened it to look “Joe - the bookmaker’s son” came by to see it. Instead of being the large book I thought I ordered, it was tiny. About a 1 inch cube in size. The title was “the ways of the Mayflower.” And every page was the same as the front cover - burgundy leather and almost like an “old door.” The pages had one thing written at the top and one at the bottom. Wish I could remember the words!
It never got to being cardstock or paper thought.
It was cool and I was being asked if it was going to work for me. Joe appeared again. I reopened it and the pages were creamy white papyrus and blank like a journal. Along the right side edge and middle where a journal buckle might be there was a worn spot on every page. It was the shape of a thumb.
I was disappointed because it was a brand new book. But Joe saw it and said, “oh yea I saw that. My dad worked really hard on that. It’s okay. It’s going to be okay.”
I thought in mind that I didn’t really want to pay for it but it was beautiful and he worked hard on it. I tried to find the movable pages but they were not in there either. So I kept the book and everybody around us (still my high school friends) were amazed that I was keeping the book and how amazing the book was. They were stunned that Joe and his dad had made it. Joe said “it was really good to see you. I’ll see you around.” Then he looked at the book and worn spots and said... “Yea, I really want to see you again.” Everybody was quiet, he left and smiled. Some friends were angry with me and chose to distance themselves. Others were supportive and excited. Then a narrator spoke and said, “Joe has expressed an interested in (me).” It ended there and I woke up feeling loved and wanted more than I can ever remember.
Some of the symbolism is obvious; as well as some of the other people represented Im asking for the interpretation because i am stuck on what the book and its changing size and contents represent. I feel this may be directional I have some major decisions to make so I am very expectant of revelation/insight on this one because I feel the Father really wants to help me.
