I was supposed to be at the Ashram (an institution co founded by my grandfather which has many activities such as orphanage, prayer meetings etc) with some other friends to attend the Sunday church service at the Ashram Chapel. I was due to travel from somewhere else and join. But I got late to reach there and once I reached there, was spending time outside the chapel talking to some friends (though I was supposed to be inside the chapel as the service began). I was not feeling happy for not going into the chapel as the service was going on and was also a bit noisy.
I then saw a person by the name Matthew (who is one of the elders at the Ashram) coming out of the chapel though the service was going on (but probably towards the end). I gave him a tap on his shoulder as a greeting and he had something in both hands.
We entered the chapel and my grandfather (who passed away 20 years back) seemed angry at us coming in late. He even commented on the lateness and my father also looked at me in anger. I did not find any familiar faces in the chapel except my father, grand father and maybe some of my father's siblings. We gave the customary hand shake as part of the service. (part of the traditional anglican service).
Towards the end of the service, my grandfather announced that there will be a prayer meeting everyday from now and that Mr. Cherian (apparently referring to me - this is my middle name and not a name I use commonly) will share the message on 'Identity'. I looked at him to confirm if he really intended me and he nodded. I was pleasantly surprised and both him and my father and I were then smiling. Felt happy at the end of it.
