On pins and needles

My sister, my son and my husband ( that I am separated from) are going to an art exhibit where there is also a party going on. My husband is very proud and obnoxious. These seem to be my sons classmates and there parents. While walking through I see a man that is very attractive to me. Once our eyes meet its as though he has a true love for me but not a sexual one. Im in awe that he is in awe of me. He is very concerned about me. I think he is there with his wife but she doesnt seem to mind. He allows me to go down the stairs (for the exhibit) in front of him but he is behind me holding my hands in the air. He will not let me fall. My husband is far behind but can see whats going on. He looks irritated but he is so full of himself to act like he cares. It would have been eaiser and less awkward to hold on to the rail but Im flattered. Once downstairs we are encourged to get a drink from a table and sit. The man is there watching me.There are many drinks lined up perfectly on a table. They look so good and so colorful and they all have fruit in them (on toothpick) like pinneaple, strawberries etc...The drinks are red and dark pink. Its hard for me to choose so Im unsure but I pick and sit down. The man is behind me. My husband is rude and refuses to sit. The lady is irritated with him. There are lots of people sitting at tables put together to make a "u". There is a difficult number system to rate the art. Most people are confused and cant figure it out. My husband tries to make himself look good and basically makes everyone else feel inferior because he does understands and takes over to explain what the woman is saying. Shes irritated. The man is standing behind my husband and he either says a word or gives my husband and look and my husbands contenance changes to like a hurt puppy dog and he sits down and doesnt say another word.
