Over the past couple of months I have had two dreams where my younger brother had a drinking problem. The first one it appeared that he was possessed and he was chasing me through the house trying to touch me and I knew if he touched me the evil spirit would be transfered so I tried rebuking him. I told my mother she needed to get him or I would hit him because he was getting closer. My brother laighed and said ”I drank the devil’s juice” and proceeded to try and grab me and I began to swing at him and then I awoke. The second dream it appeared that me and my parents were having some sort of intervention for my brother. He had took a very small sip of wine and then began to act extremely drunk and said ”i feel funny” my parents believed it and got concerned and were giving him attention nut i realized he was faking and wanted attention so i called him on it. I ”rebuked” him telling him that there was no way he got drunk off that small anount and that he needed to stop playing around because he had a seeious problem and then i proceeded to try and get my parents to understand that there was no possible way he was actually drunk.
*After both dreams I awoke concerned and felt a need to pray for my brother. I believe these dreams are warnings that my brother will be tempted by alcohol and if he drinks it will become a problem for him and so the Lord is calling me to intercede for him before it happens. However I am unsure if the alcohol is actually a literal symbol in these dreams or a symbol for something else?
